This documentary, “2210: The Collapse?”, gave me a lot of insight of all the environmental problems going on in the world. It dealt with the problem of how the citizens of the world are overusing limited resources such as food, water, and oil. Someone in the documentary stated that humans are able to see so far in the future but choose not to fix the problems. I wholeheartedly agree with his opinion under the circumstances that we are going through today. Although almost everyone is aware of the decreasing amount of water, we deliberately choose to use it. We are also conscious of the fact that the oil that we use is definitely running out. Knowing other ways to transport, such as public transportation, carpooling and walking, people still drive their cars due to convenience. I believe that the documentary made an eye opening assertion.

The documentary gave us a number of problems we are facing today, including the population growth, demand for resources, and more. Unfortunately, I do not believe that it is impractical to believe that we can slow down the process of global warming. If we consider the number of people on earth and the amount of resources we have left, it is critical to save up as much as we can. However, delaying the process of “The Collapse” will not help us terminate this inevitable ending.

As a person sharing this planet with 6.7 billion other people, I believe that many should watch this documentary. It gave me a lot of information how to deal with many problems that are upcoming. Although it is unfeasible to end the end of the world, slowing down the process would definitely give us more time to find a way to deal with critical problems.
